Greetings,
I seem to be having a problem getting CVS to authenticate via LDAP. I am using version 1.12.12 on a Redhat 9 server. I have compiled it from source using the --with-pam option. My confusion is I cant seem to find anwhere logging is taking place. I have no way of knowing what is wrong.
The message im recieving is: cvs login: authorization failed: server xxxx rejected access to xxxx for user xxx
Here is a copy of my pserver file in the xinetd directory:
service cvspserver
{
~ socket_type = stream
~ protocol = tcp
~ wait = no
~ user = root
~ server = /usr/bin/cvs
~ server_args = -f --allow-root=/export/home/cvsroot pserver
}
I am exporting the CVSROOT variable. I suspect I am doing it correctly. Is there any way to tell what is going wrong during the authentication process? I haven't the foggiest idea where to look.
Thanks for any help :)
