Please examine the output of the tar command. The error is usually in the tar output above the message you posted. When you find it, cut and past the error messag into google and see what comes up. If you don't find an answer on google:web, switch to google:groups and search again. If you still don't find something, it would be best to try a group other than a cvs group for help with a _non_ cvs question.
