To the best of my understanding, rsh does not prompt for a password.
Therefore something else is happening.
Add the '-t' switch to find out what command your client is executing.
cvs -t -d :ext:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/path/to/cvsroot checkout someproject
with appropriate values for the -d argument and the someproject
modulename.
