Alex, NAS drives, Samba shares and NFS mounts share the same basic problems - they are not generally reliable enough to trust your repository to. Search the info-cvs newsgroup for NFS and/or Samba for more detailed information. SAN's (including iSCSI SAN's) are generally OK.
If you are using CVSNT (free/GPL, Windows/Linux/Mac/Unix) then please post your questions to the CVSNT newsgroup.
