I have a question on cvs repository lock time.
During the nightly build process we tag the repository after a
successful build
which locks the repository. The lock time is around 30 mins which is ok
during night, but if a build overflows into daytime it s problem for
developers.
I understand that lock is important to preserve the integrity of the
source
repository, but want to know if someone else dealt with lock issue for
daytime builds and are there any alternatives to minimize repository
lock.
PS: We use Concurrent Versions System (CVS) 1.11.2 (client/server)
