No - I do that all the time and haven't seen any issues with that.

Thank you

Subject: cvs create new project

Hi,

Recently I had to create a new project in CVS. Since there were no files
already existing for the project I created a empty directory under
$CVSROOT
instead of using cvs import.
The developers then checked out the directory and added child
directories
and files to it.

Will this method of creating a new project instead of using cvs import
cause
any problems?

thanks,
