Gaurav, > We are using CVSNT 2.5.03 server for version control. All
You have written to the incorrect newsgroup. CVSNT newsgroup is here: http://www.cvsnt.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/cvsnt or news://news.cvsnt.org/support.cvsnt > Now if we have a file test.java (version 1.1 & 1.1.1.1 for > branch) in CVS > which also has a branch associated with it, then how do we deploy the > contents of only the branched part i.e., 1.1.1.1? > > I am confused because the contents of the branch revision > (1.1.1.1) as well > as the main revision (1.1) are all in one file. How can we > get only the > desired code for deployment? >From a user point of view there is no difference with Continuus/CM Synergy - do not get concerned with how the information is stored. If it helps to see the information visually as in Continuus then we've just today released CVSNT 2.5.04 which is now available form the web site and includes CVS Suite Studio which allows you to browse the repository branches and just drag the branch out to your PC. Install 2.5.04 client, fire up studio and in the view menu enable 'view files' and 'view branches' then browse the tree for the file/directory/branch you want and just drag it from the left to the right. In future do not ask CVSNT questions on the CVS newsgroup. Regards, Arthur Barrett
