http://ximbiot.com/cvs/manual/cvs-1.11.23/cvs_16.html#SEC144 Remember that the history file is not failsafe (if there is any problem writing to the history then cvs silently continues), so it's not a guarenteed history of your project. CVSNT (GPL/free runs on Linux, windows etc just like CVS) has a failsafe audit for this reason - but you can also use 'cvs rlog' to scour each RCS file for the history in CVS 1.11 or 1.12.
