What CVS client version are you using now? Have you been using the same
CVS version all along, with the same cvsroot that you're mentioning
here?

If I'm not mistaken, CVSNT is required if you would like to use the
sserver authentication method.

I am facing problem in add a new user in our CVS.It was working fine and
I have already added number of users.but suddenly it started giving this
error.
error I am getting is:

C:\>set cvsroot=:sserver:myn...@systemname:/CVSREPOS

C:\>cvs login
cvs login: Unknown method (`sserver') in CVSROOT.
cvs [login aborted]: Bad CVSROOT:
`:sserver:myn...@systemname:/CVSREPOS'.


Please help me to solve this issue, as we are stuck at this point.
