This is not a bug, it's a feature :)

This is done in accordance to some rfc I guess. You can try to edit
message.c and somewhere around line 270, change *p = 'X'; to //*p = 'X'; and
recompile. Might work :)

i use cyrus-2.0.12 and when i send a mail with an "é" or "è" in the
suject, the é is replace with "X".
