Hi,
I think reconstruct would work.
After transfering files, you may have to remove all cyrus.{index, cache, header),
which would be in different format with other version.

I tested reconstruct and fould it worked well.
I also followed the source flow and believe it works.
But you might lost any kept seen and other flag information
which modified by mail user.
If you do not want it,
You may have to make an imap folder/message transfer tool. ;-)
Good luck.

one user (with tons of mails) is migrating from machineA to
machineB. Which tool is suited best to transfer all his folders and
mails ? I tried a mailclient like outlookexpress, but one cant copy
more than one folder there and use has more than 1000 folders ...
Best would be a filetransfer and a reconstruct ... is this possible ?

machineA is unknown version - telnet just reports :
        Escape character is '^]'.
        * OK i3.atat.at IMAP4 service ready
(ps: how can I find out version of this ?)
        machineB is cyrus2.0.16

        thnx,
        peter
