I don't use one. It also depends on what version of cyrus you use, AFAIK the O'Reilly book is a bit outdated (up to cyrus-1.6.x only?). You should verify that a) /var/spool/imap/ (where the user data reside normally) is also owned by the correct user and b) you are really logged in as the cyrus admin user. When answering, please provide version, /etc/cyrus.conf and /etc/imapd.conf. For example there can be errors in /etc/imapd.conf disabling your admin account. I once put more than one user in there and separated them with a "," which resulted in no admin user working any more (it has to be simple whitespaces, forget about ","). Regards, - Birger
