Is it possible? [...] Seems a waste of 16meg for nothing ... no? The large files are used for inter-process synchronization in Berkeley db. They may not be removed when the server is running. 16 megs is equivalent to, what, 5 cents? Note that these files (unlike the log files) never grow, so it's a constant amount of disk space. The log files can be periodically removed by doing cd /var/imap/db ; rm `db_archive` Larry
