I'm not directly familiar with the Sun ONE server (though I do know a few of the Sun messaging people, and they tend to have their heads screwed on right), but I suspect the tradeoffs you'll have will be more or less similar to any open/closed source product tradeoff -- there's better support and more attention to the UI, but it will be harder to fix things directly by getting your hands dirty. You'll also have to deal with the transition. Then again, if the unification of all of their products is to be believed, it may make your life easier in the long run. Though, as far as direct features on its own, it looks like it compares with something like sendmail+cyrus+webcyradm+squirrelmail (only "integrated", of course). If you're happy with what you have, I don't see a reason to undergo the pain of the transition. -Rob -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Rob Siemborski * Andrew Systems Group * Cyert Hall 207 * 412-268-7456 Research Systems Programmer * /usr/contributed Gatekeeper
