In this case, you want to perform the same test as user 'postfix' in order to determine real-world ability to write to that socket.

Check the permissions of the socket's parent directory, as well as it's parent, etc etc.
I already done that. I re-checked in su-ing in cyrus user and try te access this socket, and I succeeded. I tried to chown this file to cyrus and mail user/group, but it failed too. So I don't know what to do...

I try to configure postfix 2.0 using cyrus 2.1.16 I put in main.cf: mailbox_transport = cyrus
Don't do that. Use
mailbox_transport = lmtp:unix:/var/lib/imap/socket/lmtp
and you don't have to touch master.cf.
Simon
I tried to do that earlier but postfix says:
Feb 5 07:40:35 trinity postfix/lmtp[602]: D8D9F43E8D: to=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, orig_to=<test>, relay=none, delay=1, status=deferred (connect to /var/run/cyrus/socket/lmtp[/var/run/cyrus/socket/lmtp]: Permission
denied)
I look at the lmtp socket and : rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 Feb 5 07:39 /var/run/cyrus/socket/lmtp
the path is different (I'am using debian but i think it's the file you
want
me to use)
