Indeed; that's an IMAP server specific thing. Cyrus doesn't care, and will happily allow mailboxes containing messages to also contain submailboxes. > How about other "important" folders, such as Sent, Draft, etc? Many mail clients do this automatically when they notice the PREFIX sent by cyrus, but some require manual folder creation :-( Evolution, for example, must have the folders created for it and must then be configured to use the Sent folder on the IMAP server instead of the Sent in Local Folders. *sigh*. You can't even turn off the "Sent" and "Inbox" folders in Local Folders if they're unused - a little UI pet hate of mine. If you're working with particularly braindead clients (or users) - see man imapd.conf for the altnamespace directive I mentioned earlier. > I'm probably paying too much attention to the way Evolution creates the > local folders structure, with Inbox, Sent, Draft, Trash, etc. at top > level, and allowing for other folders to be created at the same level. http://www.postnewspapers.com.au/~craig/shots/evo_cyrus.jpg This is how my mailbox looks under Evolution.
