In the short term, upgrading to 2.2.x is out of the question, but I would curious as to why/how it would restart almost automatically. I "have the usual "setrlimit: Unable to set file descriptors limit to -1: Operation not permitted ... retrying with 1024 (current max)" error on mupdate startup in my log, could it be related to that ?
