Hi,

At UC Davis, we are thinking of moving our email infrastructure to Cyrus.

We are wondering about the best backup stragegy. We use Veritas
NetBackup.

I have read the wiki and mailing list archives, and I believe I know which
files to backup:

  /var/spool/mail
  /var/lib/imap
  /etc

However, I'm not sure of the best way to handle the mailboxes file. I've
seen recommendations to save this file to disk every 5-10 minutes. But
should this be saved to tape that often?

I would appreciate any advice and/or sample backup schedules (which files
are backed-up, when, and how).

Thanks in advance for your help!
