I think I found a solution which seems to work for us. I created a DB_CONFIG file in /mail/imap/db with the following content:
set_cachesize 0 16384000 2 set_lg_regionmax 122880
Then I stopped the imapserver and deleted the tls_sessions.db, deliver.db and the contents in /mail/imap/db. After restarting we don't see the above errors anymore (at least for now).
