Perhaps you should consider using the expiration annotation on the mailbox(es) in question. Mailboxes with expiration annotations are pruned via a periodic 'cyr_expire' event in cyrus.conf. Here's a sample entry in the cyrus.conf events section: EVENTS { ... prune cmd="cyr_expire -E 3" at=0400 ... } For more details see the man page, cyr_expire(8).
