That's not verbose. -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 105026198 Nov 6 03:07 /var/log/imapd.log.5.gz -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 112415573 Nov 5 03:07 /var/log/imapd.log.6.gz Over 100Mb/day compressed is verbose... ;) Seriously though - if something went wrong with checkpointing, you'd appreciate those log lines telling you where it happened.
