I am pleased to announce the release of GNU ed 1.2.
GNU ed is an 8-bit clean, more or less POSIX-compliant implementation of
the standard Unix line editor.

The sources can be downloaded from http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/ed/ or from
your favorite GNU mirror.
This version is also available in lzip format. You can download lzip
from http://www.nongnu.org/lzip/lzip.html

This release is also GPG signed. You can download the signature by

Changes in version 1.2:
* Locale in configure has been fixed to "C".
* The man page is now installed by default.
* "make install-info" should now work on Debian and OS X.
* The license of the manual has been updated to GFDL version 1.3 or
later.
