Hello, We are pleased to announce the release of GNU dbm 1.23. See below for a complete list of changes.
GNU dbm is a library of database functions that use extensible hashing and work similar to the standard UNIX dbm. These routines are provided to a programmer needing to create and manipulate a hashed database. For detailed information, visit <https://www.gnu.org/software/gdbm>. Here are the compressed sources and a GPG detached signature[*]: https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/gdbm/gdbm-1.23.tar.gz https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/gdbm/gdbm-1.23.tar.gz.sig Use a mirror for higher download bandwidth: https://ftpmirror.gnu.org/gdbm/gdbm-1.23.tar.gz https://ftpmirror.gnu.org/gdbm/gdbm-1.23.tar.gz.sig Here are the SHA1 and SHA256 checksums: 50ba1b1d45ce33fd44e4fdaaf3b55a9d8f3dc418 gdbm-1.23.tar.gz dLEIHSH/8TrkvXwW5dblBKTCb3zeHcoNljpIQXS7ys0 gdbm-1.23.tar.gz The SHA256 checksum is base64 encoded, instead of the hexadecimal encoding that most checksum tools default to. Noteworthy changes in this release: * Bucket cache rewritten using a hash table Change suggested by Terence Kelly. * Speed up flushing the changed buckets on disk * New option codes for gdbm_setopt ** GDBM_GETDBFORMAT Return the database format. ** GDBM_GETDIRDEPTH Return the directory depth, i.e. the number of initial (most significant) bits in hash value that are interpreted as index to the directory. ** GDBM_GETBUCKETSIZE Return maximum number of keys per bucket. ** GDBM_GETCACHEAUTO Return the status of the automatic cache adjustment. ** GDBM_SETCACHEAUTO Enable or disable automatic cache adjustment. Best regards, Sergey -- If you have a working or partly working program that you'd like to offer to the GNU project as a GNU package, see https://www.gnu.org/help/evaluation.html.
