[strange, I posted this on gnus.users, but your answer doesn't show up
there. took me a while to realize I have to look in a different
use-group ;)]

I use document viewer 2.32.0 (Evince) to view pdf files on Ubuntu
10.10.
Or do you refer to a non-standard Emacs package? I recently
installed openwith.el - might that be the culprit?
But I really like openwith.el, its a great feature for e.g. opening
several pdf files in parallel from dired. Is there a way to use it and
make gnus work?
cheers
