I read through the manual
My first problem is to find the pgp keys which I have set up in Icecat/Thunderbird.
In Emacs they don´t appear. I can´t find them.
this comes up in the terminal:
gfp@Tuxedo ~$ gpg --list-keys /home/gfp/.gnupg/pubring.kbx ---------------------------- pub   rsa4096 2022-10-19 [SC] D24DDAC9226D5BA5E9F3BED3F5DAAAF74AD4C938 uid        [ unbekannt ] Trisquel GNU/Linux Archive Automatic Signing Key (11/aramo) <trisquel- [email protected]>
but where are the OpenPGP keys I created in icecat?
thanks
Gottfried

Likely on a separate keyring somewhere in Icecat's configuration/data
files, rather than in your user's global GnuPG configuration as above.

yes, I found it in Icedove/Thunderbird (not Icecat sorry)

/home/gfp/.thunderbird

but how can I now find it in emacs?

I tried:

  • To query a key server for keys, type ‘M-x epa-search-keys’

M-x epa-search-keys
asking me:
search for: ....

what should I put there? I tried
"pubring.gpg",
".thunderbird"

always a backtrace...

thanks

Gottfried
