Friends-- Perhaps many of you know about this already; however, I want to make sure you have the information. Today, during his keynote address at MacWorld San Francisco, Steve Jobs announced an extension to the "giveaway" program specifically for K-12 teachers in the US. My advice is to make sure that EVERY teacher in your school (even if you're not a teacher, I hope you will pass this along to all the teachers in the schools in your community) requests a free copy of this Operating System software. It is fantastic, mostly because it's built on UNIX. Thus, many of the problems inherent in legacy OSs either disappear or are rectified quickly because there is such a huge collection of very high-level UNIX users throughout the world. Please make sure your teachers take advantage of this "freebie" from Apple. If you need assistance in making contact with someone to receive your complimentary copy, please let me know.
