DIRECTV, Thomson Program to Donate 5,000 Systems to U.S. Schools

DIRECTV Inc. and Thomson (http://www.thomson.net), maker of RCA-brand products, 
announced
on Monday that they have jointly launched a campaign under the "DIRECTV GOES TO SCHOOL"
program to donate 5,000 DIRECTV systems and the DIRECTV SCHOOL CHOICE package of
educational channels to qualified schools throughout the United States. The campaign 
will
provide qualified K-12 schools throughout the country with an RCA-brand DIRECTV
Multi-Satellite System, as well as access to an extensive array of more than 70 TV
channels with educational programming through the DIRECTV SCHOOL CHOICE package, free 
of
charge. Among the channels included in the package are BBC America, The Biography
Channel, CNBC, CNN, C-SPAN/C-SPAN2, Discovery Channel, The Health Network, The History
Channel, TLC, National Geographic Channel, PBS, TechTV, Univision and The Weather
Channel. In addition, NASA TV is a part of the SCHOOL CHOICE package and is exclusive 
to
