Did you find a keyboarding program? At our elementary school, we used a program called PAWS. It was originally distributed by South Western Publishing (old business education textbook company). The program did not work on windows computers. We purchased the NEW Paws in Typing Town from McGraw Hill SRA. We purchased the unlimited, network version. Because it was a new release of an old program, we had a few problems with the program running correctly. It has now been fixed and our students and teachers love it. What I like about the program is the fact that it was based on quality keyboarding instruction. I have purchased two other keyboarding programs for middle school and they are NOT based on quality keyboarding instruction. If PAWS did not work out for us, we would have considered Bernie Typing Travels. We are looking to purchase a new typing program for our elementary school.
The thing is we would like a program that besides teaching the kids to type also will
include exercises that will help with language arts and reading. We are trying to
focus our energy on reading and this would get our computer instructor a little more
involved.
I would also like something that would progress from like 3rd grade thru 6th.
I would like a program that has different level of difficulty.
I know this is asking a lot but I was wondering if anyone out there is using a
program like this. The only one I have seen that is close is Bernies Typing Travels
