If this is Windows 2000 or XP try this:

Log in as Administrator, open a command prompt (or go to the run command) and type in sfc /scannow This utility checks the integrity of all of your protected system files, and will replace any that are corrupt. You may need your OS CD.

Murray-

We do two things in Fort Dodge to troubleshoot most errors on a computer:

1)       Delete the users profile (after backup up the important parts like the desktop and favorites)

2)       Re-image computer and install all of the current Windows Updates.

From there, that usually fixes any problems we have.

            Good luck!!!

Hey Gang,

What are you using for scanning your computers once you are given a windows error message. ie. –program can’t load because of error XYZ. I  have run chkdsk, but it seems Gateway has limit what it can do on startup.

Thanks
