Tony - Looks like you got the answer you needed.  I just wanted to add a couple of ideas that might be of interest to you or others reading this listserv.

In addition to the items that can be purchased, there are some items (like textbooks) that can be leased for a year.  There are a number of books that can be downloaded for free, also.  This would allow teachers to practice the techniques possible...highlight, bookmark, add notes, "page" through the book, etc.  -- at no cost beyond the initial purchase of the Cruzer Freedom.

This morning, I downloaded the Merriam-Webster Dictionary and a couple of World Fact Books, among other items - all for free.

The main menu features: eBooks, Music,  Games - most of the games had a free 60 minute trial, the vVdeo site is still being developed, and the Learning site - where I found the textbooks and free dictionary and fact books.

There is also a free 30-day trial on a graphic calculator.

IF/WHEN this also incorporates text-to-speech capability, (the company reps told us this would be possible in a year), it will have even greater usability,

Subject: [info-tech] SanDisk Cruzer Freedom

Is anyone else out there using the SanDisk Cruzer Freedom USB device?  If so what is the process for getting teachers access to the website where they can upload content for students?

Thanks,
