| Each funding year schools are required to turn in a budget to support
their
| approved technology plan. What is requested is "Total budgeted amount
| allocated to resources not eligible for E-Rate support." This is also the
| figure that should be used on your E-rate form 471, Question 25d.
|
| The budgeted amount does not include any funds to purchase E-rate
discounted
| items. This includes Telephone and Internet services. What it should be
| included are items that directly support the E-rate discounted services.
| This would include but not limited to, New computer s, New phones, Support
| contracts, Professional development directly related to the discounted
| services.
|
| To simplify the requirements I have created an E-mail template. Click on
| the 'Element 5 Template' Link below to start the process. The link
should
| open a new e-mail message already addressed and formatted. Replace the
| [Bracketed] text with your districts information.
|
| [YOUR DISTRICT NAME] = The name of your district = Prairie Lakes CSD
|
| [$DOLLARS] = Total amount budgeted = $10,000
|
| [$GenFund][$Silo-PPEL][$OtherSource] are there for a reference. Modify
the
| last sentence to reflect how your district funds the specific budget item.
