Just a thought..Maybe he needs to restore them from backup. Also, If the backup is from a CD or DVD, then it might be marked as read-only and not let any editing to happen. Try to uncheck the read-only attribute on the file after he has copied the file from backup to the hard drive. Maybe that is what is going on. Good luck.

I know some of you out there are tablet users and I am too, but when it comes to One Note, I'm a bit of a klutz. This teacher sent the email below and I am not having any luck helping him. Any ideas. Thanks, Layne From: Locke, Justin Sent: Wednesday, September 03, 2008 9:16 AM To: Henn, Layne Subject: one note files Layne, I found the one note files that I created last year in the "Backup." I thought I was good to go. The only problem I was having was that I couldn't open them in one note or send them to one note as they were before. They seemed "stuck" in Backup and only accessible from there. Now I have discovered a new and bigger problem. When I open or access the files from Backup I am unable to use the stylus pen to write on them. That is the main purpose of many of those files. Can you help me figure out this mess as soon as you get a chance? Thanks, Justin
