The 7-8 middle school is looking into Channel 1 currently. I personally have mixed feelings about bringing in the tv's and getting trapped into showing it and giving up instructional time every day. The broadcast is also streamed. We have a good percentage of the rooms with mounted projectors. If the curriculum connection is current events, I would like to see the social studies teachers stream it and project it onto the screens. Not sure how much it is actually watched, but we show it. They have threatened to take away our tvs if we stop showing it, but not sure how serious they are as the tvs are all 10ish years old. Channel One just upgraded us last year to a DVR, not that the DVR will record anything but CHannel One shows, but it has come in handy for that. Karl H.
