Here is what we do from a previous post: You may also want to look here for VGA over CAT5 solutions: http://www.markertek.com ----------------------- Some of you requested information on the Digital Display system we are using for the Hall of Champions (JS state champs/all staters, etc.). 37" flat panel displaying picture and honors of each qualifying athlete. I saw this concept at ITEC in the Viewsonic booth and bought the pieces to create the system separately. The same system could be used for daily announcements, etc.
This is the software: DisplayIt http://www.bestwave.com/software.html Flashpoint: Allows you to create a flash movie from a powerpoint presentation and DisplayIt will play (also schedules multiple shows) this flash movie on the flat panel. http://www.flashdemo.net/ We bought it here: http://www.provantage.com/viewsonic-sw-007~7VIEJ00H.htm Viewsonic NMP-530 Digital Media Player- ordered from Viewsonic rep. on evaluation and bought the eval. unit at a better price. Anyway, what we are looking at doing is mounting LCD screens throughout a building to show announcements and such. We want it to run from a central computer. I have found some VGA over CAT5 equipment that will do the trick, but I am wondering if others have used other solutions and what those might be.
