On May 6th at 10:00 Paul Brown from Texthelp will be coming to Algona
to share information about Read & Write Gold. If anyone else is
interested in attending, I thought I would open it up to other
schools. He thought it would be about an hour presentation or so
(and can stay longer to answer questions). We're looking at it
primarily for an assistive technology piece, although there are other
curricular possibilities with it. Please share with others in your
district who may be interested in attending (special education
teachers, curriculum/administrators, etc.), and rsvp to me by next
Friday (May 1st) so I can share numbers with Paul to make sure he has
enough handouts and information for everyone.

Read&Write GOLD helps struggling readers and writers access and
organize information on their PCs or Mac computers using a floating
toolbar that works directly inside of popular computer applications
and websites including Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer, Safari, and
