Karl,

I believe Fort Dodge is using Ravica www.ravica.com and we are using the "Weather Goose" http://www.itwatchdogs.com/

The "Weather Goose" is $399 and includes internal temp, humidity, light, sound, air flow, and three "analog" inputs to monitor switches or other 0-5volt sources in a 1u rackmount box. Ours is set to email out sms text messages when alarm thresholds are met. In our Fort Dodge server room I also have three additional Temp sensors. Two are monitoring the output temp of each of our ac units, and one is monitoring the room temp away from the rack. We have been really happy with the solution and have at least 3 in use. We use the analog inputs to monitor Utility Power, Generator run, and AC from the main breaker panel so we can monitor any power outage as well.

The weather goose also will work with many IP cameras if you want to see the server room. We don't use this option, but the demo looks pretty cool.

Subject: [info-tech] Server Room TEmp sensors

Due to my recent server room/sauna experiment. I am looking to find a way to monitor the temp of my server room at all times. What are you guys using to monitor the temps in your server rooms?
