I took classes last summer from Mary Trent at Kuemper High School in Carroll.

I am signed up to take more classes this summer but more students are needed.

Below is a list and description of the classes she is offering.

These classes are through AEA 11 Heartland.

I recommend these classes as they are informative and productive.  If you need credit and want more knowledge and practice with technology, here is a way to acquire both.

1. Technology Integration Projects: Make and Take
Participants will be exposed to numerous websites, templates, and other resources that will assist them in creating technology integration projects. Participants will have time to create projects for the next school year. Finally, participants will share their projects with the class.

2. Digital Video: Lights, Camera, Action
Participants will create digital video projects that they can use in their classrooms. We will learn how to use Mini DV Camcorders and flip video camcorders transfer video, edit the video, and publish a final movie project. We will also look at various online resources to post the video projects.

3. Create Classroom Tools
This class will provide participants with valuable gifts of knowledge and time to create classroom management items for the following school year. Participants will learn how to create labels using mail merge, icebreaker activities, classroom forms and letters, calendars, birthday cards, classroom presentations, checklists, worksheets, and much much more!

4. Web 2.0 Resources for the 21 Century Learner
Resources, Resources, Resources! You will walk away with from this course with TONS of Web 2.0 resources to put into your teacher toolbox. Participants will explore numerous Web 2.0 tools, brainstorm ways in which these tools could be used in the classroom, and create technology integration projects for the upcoming school year. PBWiki, Wordle, QuizYourFriends, Skype, Animoto, Jing, Classtools, and many more!
