Also . . . we had a demo in May for the new Mac version of Read and Write (which is similar to the PC version currently from what I understood) -- has a feature similar to Inspiration and also does outlines. Can search info on the web, hi-light it according to color and then the program will organize it into notes for you.
FYI . .

I’ve done some research on this and tried some of the freebies. Nothing is as good. However, the Smartboard Notebook 10 software has the same stuff and is free if you have some smartboards in the district J

Subject: [info-tech] Inspiration Alternatives...

Happy Summer!!!

Anyone out there using an open-source alternative to Inspiration or Kidspiration? We have made the switch from KidPix to TuxPaint, and that has seem to go pretty well. Looking for an alternative to the Inspiration product, so if anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate them.

            Thanks!!!

Jeremy
