Are they 802.11N? Do you have 5 GHz coverage everywhere. Not required in
most cases but just asking.

Yeah they did but their wireless solution hasn't changed. We just put ours
in about 5 months ago and haven't had a bit of problems. We have 16 a.p's
spread out through 3 buildings and have very good converage.

To my understanding, the HP stuff is in limbo, since they just purchased a
new company for their wireless stuff. They have discontinued the ProCurve
wireless blades, at least for the 53xx and 54xx switches. Not sure where
there solution is heading.

Just my very limited knowledge, though.

If the controller fails will the AP keep functioning?

Have you looked at a H.P. controller system. We have one in place at
Emmetsburg and really like it a lot.

Anyone have any experience with Ruckus Wireless products? I am looking for
a district wireless solution that just works and does not require a lot of
administrative time to administer. Don't really want to attend school on
regular bases to set it up and maintain it.

Have looked at Xirrus and Aruba and unless you have plenty of time on your
hands and just love complexity steer clear of Aruba. Xirrus is cool but
their prices indicate that they know that. Any other ideas?

Thanks,

Tony Richardson,
