It is not known what your fixes exactly do, therefore it is not possible for an
outsider to say if there is interest in your improvements. E.g. it is unclear
what side effects will happen.

I suggest you to prepare some changes, which you think will be useful, and
propose to get them upstream. This will have the advantage for you, that in
version upgrades in the future, you will not have to patch the source code as
much as you do now.

Subject: Re: "sql" cyrusdb backend - do you use it?

Hi,

We are using sql with --with-mysql on Cyrus 3.4 and are on plan to upgrade to
version 3.12.
We are setting up Mysql shared database for mboxlist_db and annotation_db (due
to our use of nfs for managing cyrus instances failover)

Indeed, we have low write throughput on these tables.
We have made many fixes and improvements in the code and would be happy to
share upstream if anybody else is interested

Regards,
Sébastien MICHEL
