Being the most un-organized person, I would like to know if any of you who
use IMAP for mail and how you organize your folders.

I have process mail setup and it filters spam and also moves messages from
[EMAIL PROTECTED] to a folder called in-l-informant. Then when I use an
imap mail program like eudora, all new mail from informant is in
in-l-informant (which stands for "in mail" L for list "informant
list". Also note that eudora has an unread/read field which indicates if
the message is read or unread. It does not show the message fields in bold
for new mail like Outlook. This is confusing because you have to take an
extra moment to look at the colored dot to see if it's new mail or
not. Whereas is it was bold you know immediately that it was new mail. It
does have a labels features, but I think you have to setup a filter to
insert the proper label. Actually, I do not know what the label feature in
eudora is for...

I first though of just leaving the informant mail in this box, but now it's
hard to sort this out with so many messages.

Would it be better to create sub folders to put mail in separate mailboxes
than having a long list of mailboxes? Also note that Eudora and Outlook
show the same In/Out/Trash folders (which I never use) as if you were using
pop3 above your IMAP folders. How do you handle these unused local folders?

To give me some ideas, how do you manage your folders and messages using imap?

Jay
