Most ISPs I've used and cancelled my subscription (changed isps) all they did was disable my radius (dialup account). They forget that if you somehow connect to the internet then you can still connect to your old pop mail account. Some do this on purpose because they realize that people use email for business or hope that you will return within a few months and reopen your account. Most people request the same username. However, some just plain forget and leave the email and ftp account active. You just can't dialup but you can get your mail if you connect to the internet. Try it.
