Ok, here's a short lesson to recognize spam.  I will use this message as an 
example.

First of all, the message contains no subject.  Second, his username (the 
part in front of his email address) is suspicious.  Last but not least, if 
that didn't tip you off, the word "scam" in his email address says it all!

Also, the company site he sent it from (he's probably an employee or 
salesman), is a communications company.  Ask yourself, why would a person 
inside a large communications company ask such a simple question?  Maybe he 
hijacked their smtp server or he actually works for the company and they 
allow such marketing ploys.  Either way, the owner of the server is at 
fault for allowing spamming and harvesting of email addresses or by having 
an insecure mail server.
