Thanks for the extra info. I've seen logs that rate the quantity of spam
transmitted from domains but haven't checked them out in many months. That
near-10,000 figure sure is telling about the overabundance of spam crap
being transmitted via their domain. Considering that figure, it is no wonder
that <uu.net> doesn't address the issue; they'd have to admit (if they
actually cared) how much negative activity occurs under their auspices.
I just came across a cable, or high-speed, modem firewall program (to
protect against such hijacking) in the past few days but forgot the name of
it and where I found it. High-speed modem access has recently become
available in the nearest large town but checking into my phone service, I
found I cannot utilize it yet. So, I don't have use for such a firewall.
But, your assumption points to the real life need for such protection.
