Alex,
Almost all of your personal settings for IE are stored in a file with
the extension .ins. If you have setup a profile it may be called (your
profile name.ins). If you have not, it can be called default.ins or
install.ins - usually the latter. Use your "find" function to locate the
file and then open it with notepad to look at it.
You should be able to save this file and, after reinstallation and all
is up and running, simply overwrite the "new" install.ins with the one
you saved. I say you "should" as I do not use IE and thus have not had
occasion to do so.
