Not much they can do unless their copy of the spam contains something different than
what I received.
The headers do not show the originating IP, but only the topica mail server address.
Spammers use software that create 100's of web based email accounts remotely and spoof
mail servers that are incorrectly configured. Their are millions on these incorrectly
configured smtp servers online. Many are from cable modem (roadrunner) customers etc,
but some are large companies, isps, and edu's.
Until everyone that connects to the internet running a mail server learns how to set
it up so others can't connect, then spam will never cease to exist.
