John   For one thing I hate the color palatte layout in 7. It's much different than in 5 or 6 and I didn't need to be on the learning curve again since there is still so much to learn. I took care of my mom for an entire year and had no time to learn the full power of PSP. Now, I can spend more time and it's incredible.   I also have a ton of filters including Eye Candy and Blade Pro plus all of the FIlter Factory and surprisingly they load pretty fast on this machine. I went from a PII 266 with 128 MB RAM to a PIII 850 with 256 MB RAM and it's quick.   I honestly don't know if you can still get 6 but I would go for it. 7 has some nice lighting effects but I still like 6 better. It's also a bit more tricky to export PSP6 tubes into PSP7 since the format is different. I don't think I got that far even though I belong to two PSP newsgroups which offer immense help with tubes and tips. Also don't forget to sign up for the PSP newsletter. I can find the address if you need it.   Gordy, I was working on graphics the last two nights so I wasn't on Napster at all. Oops there is an injunction against Napster to remove songs immediately, I just heard it on the radio. I don't think it's theft. I bought most of the music I DL but it was stolen. My main interest was in collecting stuff from the 80's .. not disco *L* and that's what I did pretty much. Yes I have lots of Dave Matthews and some Vertical Horizon and Matchbox Twenty but so does everyone else.   It was because of Napster that I decided to buy the new Mark Knopfler album so it has it's benefits. Don't let anyone kid you, the record industry is swimming in $$. I don't feel sorry for them one bit. Charging about $17 for a CD is theft!
