We are using Panasonic CF-27 laptops in vehicles as
Mobile Data Terminals. Recently we upgraded a few to CF-37s. The OS is the exact
same (Win 95) and the software for the MTD program is the same. Oddly, the
CF-37s will on occasion fail to recognize the modems and fail to set up. To fix
it you only need to plug the data cable to the modem into one of the
older CF-27s long enough for it to set up, put it back on the newer CF-37
and its ok. What's the problem? A car radio installer suggested the CF-37 may be
too fast. Any ideas? David
