Does anyone know why a AMD Thunderbird 800 mhz won't work with Windows ME? My husband upgraded my computer while I was in the states on emergency leave and when he tried running ME with this CPU the computer became unpredictable (ex: sometimes it would boot somestimes not, sometimes it would load sometimes not, etc). It was just very unstable. He took ME off and put on Windows 2000 Professional and it runs fine BUT I can't load a lot of my software on here now which is driving me nuts. I need to run Win ME or 2000 in order to have our computers networked for on line service. Does anyone know of a solution to fix it so I can run ME with the AMD CPU I've got? Thanks in advance!
