We're using the .Net proxy w/ the COM component to interface w/ iMSPost and
submit mails to the Post queue (no Cold Fusion). We plan on using the priority
setting to weigh certain email broadcast jobs as more important than others
(and therefore be sent first).

In thinking about how this works it's not clear how the Post server is able to
know which control files to process first if I was to drop 50,000 control files
into the Post queue (at roughly the same time). Lets say that represents 10
jobs of 5000 recipients each w/ each job having a different priority. We're
using the MaxRecipients=1 so we have a single control file for each recipient.

So how does the Post server know to process a control file w/ a priority of 1
before it does the one w/ a priority of 9 without knowing what all the control
files have for their respective priority settings?

It seems like this would be difficult for it to do without actually opening and
somehow indexing ALL the conrtol files in the queue to know in what sequence it
needs to process them in.

Thanks,

Bob
